Minster Fitzgerald addresses Childrens Forum in Newbridge, Co. Kildare

Childhood can be a difficult time for our children. As parents, guardians and educators, how best can we guide them to a healthier and happier future?

You are cordially invited to a Children’s Forum on April 28th to examine the many issues our children face in 2014 and address how we can all move ‘Towards a Healthier and Happier Childhood for Our Children.’

This Forum, which will be attended b…y Minister Frances Fitzgerald, will discuss the importance of addressing childhood obesity in the pre-school years; a discussion on the ‘Food Rebels’ programme which I recently launched; Georga Dowling and Annette Akerlind will present their experiences from créches; Kildare Sports Partnership will highlight the importance of exercise from an early age; how best to protect our children online; obstacles preventing children reaching their full potential will be identified.
