My second motion at 16th of January’s MD Meeting, ‘That the council provides certainty, clarity and fairness in relation to the LPT grants funding process by clarifying the deadline for applications and the criteria for application and selection.

Here is the report issued by: Ms S Kavanagh, Director of Services, Economic, Community & Cultural Development. ‘The process and/or allocation of LPT funding is a matter for the elected members. The Community Department were previously asked by the Kildare Newbridge Municipal District to notify the PPN of the availability of LPT funding in the Kildare-Newbridge Municipal District area. I drafted wording for the notice and sent it to the members along with a suggested closing date (copy email attached). I did not get the approval of the Municipal District to send this notice out so the notice didn’t issue. If the Municipal District members agree on a form of words and on a closing date I will send the notice to the PPN and ask them if it is possible to circulate it to their members.
