Council work with tidy town’s to assist with the development of a Garden of Remembrance

My second motion was ‘That the council work with tidy town’s to assist with the development of a Garden of Remembrance, in memory of those soldiers who lost their lives in 1916, on the island near the entrance to the Department of Defence Newbridge Town FC astro-pitches.

Here is the report issued by Mr. Simon Wallace, Senior Executive Parks Superintendent.  The Tidy Towns have made representations to the Department of Defence regarding a proposal to develop a garden in conjunction with them. Kildare County Council will work with the Tidy Towns to assist them once the intentions of the Department are confirmed.
