Council outline a fair and transparent process for re-allocating the land offered back to the council by the Hockey Club in Newbridge

My second motion at February’s MD meeting, ‘In the absence of any existing protocol that the council outline a fair and transparent process, maximising community returns, for re-allocating the land offered back to the council by the Hockey Club in Newbridge.
Here is the report issued by S.Wallace, Senior Parks Superindendent: A number of clubs have expressed an interest in the lands in Ricardstown currently leased to Newbridge Hockey Club. The first step is that the current lease to Newbridge Hockey Club has to be terminated. Once this is complete a process for the reallocation will be developed and submitted to Councillors for consideration. Finally any reallocation will also have to be done as part of Section 183 agreement which will have to be considered at the monthly council meetings.
