That the council provide details of derelict sites/buildings in the district with an update on how many there are and where

My second motion in Septembers Municipal Distrtict was  “that the council provide details of derelict sites/buildings in the district with an update on how many there are and where, how many have been assessed for dereliction in the last year versus how many were actually designated derelict and the outcome or consequences in each case of a derelict designation.

Report: The Environment Department is tasked with monitoring derelict sites throughout the county. Statutory powers are conferred upon the Council under the Derelict Sites Act 1990. There are twelve (12) sites in the District that are currently being monitored under the derelict sites procedures. Five (5) of these properties/ sites are included on the formal Register of Derelict Sites. With the agreement of the Members, this item can be discussed in more detail at the next Municipal District

Meeting in October (in committee).
